Meet Your Teacher
Paul grew up in Bournemouth, England where started to play the saxophone at age 10. When he was 18, Paul gained a place to study jazz saxophone, flute and composition at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music in London where he trained for 4 years from 2003-2007 and gained a first class honours Bachelor of Music degree.
Since then he has worked as a freelance musician, teacher and composer in London performing with top groups around the UK and Europe. Notable performance venues in London include Tower of London, Natural History Museum, V&A Museum, St Paul's Cathedral, Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, The Ritz, The Savoy, The Shard, City Guildhall, Emirates and Wembley Stadium.
Paul was awarded a grant from the Arts Council England to record an album of compositions with his quintet featuring some of the best players on the UK Jazz scene. He was then signed to the Jellymould Jazz Record Label and toured the UK. Reviews of the album can be found here.
